• Seeds of Success?

With the Small Agro-Farmers Income Improvement project (SAFII) project, funded by ピースウィンズ・ジャパン Peace Winds Japan and JICA, the small agro-farmers, marginalized and earthquake-affected communities of Sindhupalchok district are now back on their fields, tilling, toiling and learning to grow in the most efficient way. The farmers are not only learning how to cultivate with an infusion of modern technology but they are also being assisted with irrigation and other material resources to implement what they learn.

Here are a few glimpses from the Cultivation training that is now being conducted among the 18 farmers groups in the district, after the recent completion of the Nursery training where the farmers learned to grow seedlings from seeds. The cultivation training now is teaching them to plant the seedlings in their fields, but will the seeds turn into stories of success? Stay with us for the update as the project progress toward Agro-Business Literacy and Record-Keeping training to farmers.
