Association of Youth Organizations Nepal (AYON)
Third Youthpreneur Challenge for AYON's NEPAL YOUTH CORPS.
It was our immense pleasure to conduct 2-days workshop on social entrepreneurship with AYON's Nepal Youth Corps. Like our other Youthpreneur program the challenge for Youth Corps was to prepare and present a viable social business plan with the investment of Rs. 1000.
We were thrilled to receive innovative ideas and work together to turn ideas into business plan. The 20 active Youth Crops were divided into five teams.
Team Strikers envisioned utilizing newspaper waste by making and selling its mats, while Karmasheel Yuwa decided on making and selling mats made of plastic waste, such as wrappers of candy and noodles, to reduce and recycle plastic waste as well as provide employment opportunity to elderly people.
Team Sabiyabi planned on selling practical based educational tools, such as rhyme books, as well as conducting practical education sessions in schools to promote practical based education.
Similarly Team SAPP proposed selling quality ensured mask to tackle and raise awareness on air pollution. Last, but not the least, team Nawa Parabesh aimed selling plastic made decoration materials to reduce and recycle plastic waste.
We believe that NEPAL Youth CORPS will be executing their business plan, and learn from the journey of social entrepreneurship.
