The designing of the water supply scheme is the most demanding part in any WASH project due to the difficult terrain and topography of Nepal.
The navigation of the water distribution from the source to the households in Acharya Tole in PIWAAI project was no different because of the huge rock cliff between the water source and the community, through which the water pipe was to be laid.
The connection of the Galvanized Iron (GI) pipes across the cliff was undertaken by climbing down an 80 m drop by the WASH team of the PIWAAI project. This provided individual tap stands to each of the eleven households in Acharya Tole bringing joy to more than fifty residents of the community.
Thank you would not be enough for the immense dedication and bravery shown by Mr. Suman Jonchhe, WASH technician and Mr. Sanjit Majhi, Social Mobilizer, and by the entire WASH team to go all the way for a successful completion of the scheme.
