Mr. Krishna Bahadur Bishta started his New Kushal Agrovet at Jyamire, Melamchi three years ago. For two years, he only provided services for domestic animals, but when many farmers of PIWAAI came to him with the issue of their agricultural problems, he began providing services to the farmers by selling agricultural inputs such as seeds and fertilizers. More so, he also received the license provided by PIWAAI. He says “With the training, I can support the farmers in my community in dealing with the agricultural problems as they don’t have to go too far. I am also trying my best possible to advise farmers to follow safety protocols while using chemical pesticides.” He also adds that now it has come to his attention that he must encourage the farmers to use biopesticides for the betterment of the people and the community.
