Minifarm is a concept developed by PIWAAI project for the farmers to learn about new technologies and new techniques of cultivation. It is a suitable hub for all stakeholders to learn about the core project activities.
Plastic house cultivation, irrigation from plastic pond, plastic mulching, rope staking, vertical farming, compost preparation etc., are demonstrated in the mini farm. All the seasonal vegetable crops would be cultivated by adapting new techniques and technologies. The farmers will be able to observe techniques starting from seed sowing, nursery preparation to ready to harvest vegetables.
There are altogether two minifarms; one in Melamchi and one in Sunkoshi.
