Second day of Plant clinic took place at Unewchaur, Balefi where 28 farmers brought multiple samples to get the diagnosis. Mr. Rajiv Das Rajbhandari and Mr. Bibek Sunar, conducted a thorough diagnosis of the sample and provided the necessary prescription.
Samples of cauli flower, cabbage, tomato, garlic, brinjal, citrus fruits, avocado, coffee beans, faba beans, etc were brought by the farmers. The major problem diagnosed were infestation of aphids, late blight, Tuta absoluta, fruit and stem borer, deficiency of boron, molybdenum and calcium were seen. For the, proper management of infected plants various treatment methods were prescribed such as application of Jholmal, insecticides such as imidacloprid, emamectinbenzoate, acetamide. Similarly, fungicide such as hexaconazole, copper oxychloride etc. were prescribed along with removal and proper disposal of infected parts.
