Gaining access to clean water at one’s doorstep is truly a life-changing moment that is experienced by few in rural Nepal. Today, the Manjhebari community came together to experience this moment and celebrated turning on their tap for the very first time after the completion of the Water Supply Scheme construction. People from Manjhebari have struggled for water since forever and this struggle of water scarcity has solely driven the tremendous participation of the community for the construction of the scheme despite the difficult geographical reality.
People here have their own individual stories of struggle and experience of fetching water. Now they look forward to a healthier, and more prosperous future.
Ratopani Manjhebari, a gravity WSS is the first completed scheme from PIWAAI third phase.
